View Full Version : What kind of FA Receiver do I have????

Hey,

I live in Germany and recently bought a Demilled Uzi receiver. I would like to know who made it? I can really find no Identifing marks or words on it.

The funny part is that its brand new and has a dabble of weld in front of the barrel threads that could be easily Dremilled off but, here in Germany they shoot first so that wont be happening. These are German demill specs buy the way. I also bought a brand new FN made Izzy FAL receiever and a new in grease H&R M-14 receiver. Both were about 90 Euros

I paid about 80 Euros for the Uzi and the receiver cover it is non-racheting and new. My bet is that its an FN but Like I said I cant find any marks.:angel3

Can you post a pic? Is your receiver cut? I know in some countries the MG can be demilled without destroying the receiver so I am quite curious what this looks like...

Unfortunatly I cant post pics but, imagine a riecver that is brand new except for about 3/8 inch of a weld bead right in front of the threads were you screw down the barrel lock.

The Demill was simply putting the weld bead on so that the barrel could not be screwed down tight. The reciever is unmarred in any other way. For me to make this fully functional I would simply dremel off the weld bead and start shooting.:D

As I said though the Polizei shoot first and ask questions latter so the afore mentioned wont be happening.

If you're able to take pics, you can e-mail them to me and I'll post them for you. I think we would all really like to see the receivers you're able to purchase there.

Somebody has to have a chart of marking and or characteristics! Whats the deal here? I thought you guys were experts or something.:angel3

Well, there are lots of "Receiver Markings" in the library page below, but you said there were no markings on the gun, so that makes it difficult.... Ich kann Ihnen leider nicht helfen.

p.s. I lived in Austria for a little while, but actually never made it to Bavaria. I am a Franziskaner fan though... Prost! :beer
