I have come across a mini-UZI open bolt that has a "G" engraved on the left side of it. Does anyone know if that means it is a GI bolt, or did they even make Mini bolts?
It looks just like an IMI bolt, but it has that G on it. It looks like someone very lightly scratched something on it too, like an initial or number. That is so light it can hardly be seen though. I can put pictures here if anyone really wants, but there is not much to see...just a "G". Sound like a Group Industries marking??

Yes, I'd like to see a picture. The only GI marking I've seen on a bolt is the one on their late model .22 conversion bolts. (Picture in the library.) Those has the same logo as on the GI receivers.

I have a Group Industries .45 Bolt and it has the G on it. I have run across 2 MINI Bolt's that had the G on it too that looks exactly like the one on my .45 Bolt. The MINI Bolt's that have the G on them do NOT look like cut downs either. They look well made. I have always wondered about them but I think that Group must have made them.
One thing to note is that every Group bolt I've seen have all been clearanced for the barrel restrictor ring. I think Group made them that way.

Here are a few pictures of what I am now assuming is a Group Industries bolt. I also put it side by side with an IMI bolt for comparison (this one came from Vector, which I am pretty sure is IMI). Originally, I stated that they look exactly the same. After inspecting it closer, there are subtle differences. The right side opening for the ejected cases appears slightly more rounded on the GI bolt. The overall length of the GI bolt actually looks shorter when viewed from the side, but the difference is that the IMI bolt has a recessed region in the back, whereas the GI bolt does not. The length from front to back on the GI bolt is the same as the length front to recess on the IMI bolt. I am now wondering why the IMI bolt has that recess, as I see no functional reason. Another thing that I noticed when I put the recoil spring in the bolt was that the point inside the bolt where the recoil spring washer is actually stopped was about 1/2 an inch closer to the rear of the GI bolt. This also makes no real functional difference other than the fact that the spring may be compressed a little more with the GI bolt (it may shoot a little faster in that case).

Another difference you can see is what I mentioned already in my post above.
All Group bolts I have seen are relieved to accept the SEMI auto barrel restrictor ring. You can clearly see this in your picture 2nd from the bottom.
That bolt looks exactly like the two other MINI Group bolts I've seen.
I have always wondered what other MINI parts Group may have made.

I wonder as well... To my knowledge they never made an actual Mini UZI did they?

No, I don't think they made any MINI Uzi's.
I didn't think they made ANY MINI parts until I ran across these bolts. I really do think these bolts were made by Group.

I have a 45 full size SMG bolt that has "450111" and "G" on the left side near the extractor retaining pin hole. This bolt has a very shallow recoil spring hole - half way through the bolt. The rod can go all the way through from rear to front, but the step down that catches the spring is in the middle of the bolt.
This prevents the bolt from going far enough rearward to clear the magazine or allow the rear of the bolt to strike the fiber buffer.
