The little Brown truck just made another delivery!
:)

I just received my UZI/M16, 9mm Cambi loader from World Wide Ordnance & I am one happy camper. This sure the hell beats slapping a mag on my knees to get the inertia going & it saves your thumbs for better things. It is extremely rugged & well designed... just the ticket when you have to load a couple of dozen mags in a hurry. It appears to be made of glass filled nylon ZYTEL & is quite simple to operate. I loaded 32rd mags in about a minute. The back of the loader is recessed for ribbed 25rd mags too.

Just rotate a mag into the housing near the top... snap it into place & push the mag up until it clicks (a detent snaps into the mag release slot). Rotate the loading chute down until it clicks into place & drop two rounds into the tunnel. Grasp the handle twice... & 2rds are effortlessly loaded into the mag. Repeat 16x... & voila... you are in business. It is extremely fast. These suckers are snug & the best way to separate the loader from the mag... is to lift the loading chute & rotate the mag away by pushing w/ the thumb on the bottom of the housing.

The loader is $29.95 & shipping is $4.99. I liked it so much that I ordered a spare loader & WWO's M16 handguard removal tool as well (review to follow upon delivery). The tool is rubberized & coated to prevent marring of the finish.

These items can be purchased through World Wide Ordnance

I just received a Cambi Loader model 102 for the UZI or M16 mags. Here is my first impression.

The bottom part of the loader is sort of like a magazine well that you slide the mag into. It has an UZI style catch and an M16 style catch that hold either type of mag in place. If you were to put a dual cut mag in there, both catches would hold it in place and it would be a pain to get out! Once the mag is inserted, you drop a round in a hole at the top of the loader and pull the lever, which pushes the round into the magazine. You can load rounds as fast as you can drop them in the hole.

The loader essentially works the same as one of the MP5 loaders. On the MP5 loader, you drop a round in the hole and then press on the top instead of pulling the lever.

I tried the loader on 25 round round IMI and non-IMI mags, 32 round IMI mags and 40 round non-IMI mags. All magazines fit in the loader fine and loaded easily.

What I liked:
- All mags fit the loader nicely. I did not have the fit problem that I've had with the 16 round Camenga loader.
- I found it to be more reliable than the Camenge loader on large magazines. I find the Camenga to be flawless on the 25 round IMI mags but troublesome on larger mags.
- It's very fast. Probably the fastest UZI loader I've used. The Rapid Loader is faster but only if you've already loaded all the clips.

What I didn't like:
- It's hard to unclip the mag from the loader after you're through loading it.
- Squeezing the loading handle get's a little tedious on the 40 round mags. If you load a lot of mags with this loader, you'll build up your forearm.

I'm definitely happy with the Cambi Loader and glad I bought it. I expect it will be my primary loader any time I'm not using preloaded clips with the Rapid Loader. The Model 102 for the UZI is hot off the production line. They're still shipping them out to distributors and sold one to me directly to take a look at for UZI Talk members. The normal retail price is $29.95 but they have agreed to sell them to UZI Talk members at a group discount price. If anyone is interested, chime in here so I can see how many we need while I check on specifics of the group buy. Our price should be somewhere around $20.

...to rotating the mag out of the loader. (DON'T try to slide the mag in from the very bottom of the loader!!!! Rock it in near the top & push away w/ your thumb when finished)
Check out this rave review (lol): http://www.uzitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3380

Try dropping 2rds @ a time down the tunnel & squeeze da grip lever twice!

Uh, huh!
:)

Imagine what you could do if you had an extended tunnel that held a sh*tload of ammo that attached to the loading chute!

yep!

stymie, I missed your previous post on the loader. I've merged our threads. They seem eager to give us an UZI Talk discount. I'll try to get details ASAP.

Still sounds like more work than the Camenga loader. I just got two of these for my birthday and love them.

I think I posted it here somewhere but you can call and order directly from them. Tell them you're from UZI Talk and they'll give you a discount. I think it's about $23.95 instead of $29.95.
