I was thinking about making a AOW or, SBR 51 or 53 K. I have a friend of mine who has a transferable sear pack. Would it be worth it, to try? Thanks for all the help guys!

Just my opinion, but why bother? If you are making a SBR out of an original HK receiver it would be Very expensive. As I recall an AOW needs to be made from a virgin receiver or a receiver that was originally a pistol. If the receiver came originally with a stock, it can only be made into a SBR. Since only a SP89 was originally a pistol, the conversion to an AOW would be very expensive if at all possible.
I have a Sear in a SEF pack that is married to a converted 94. The 94 has been remarked to "MP-5" with a threaded three lug factory barrel. It is a very smooth subgun. That's why I bought it. The Colt 9mm system has been problematic for me. Someday I'll SBR the host to have other options with the sear. I've tried a 53. It was fun, but didn't seem any smoother than an AR with the same length of barrel. Even buying a Vector host gun would be around $1,500 with mags and accessories. Of course you being a dealer, you could more than likely do a little better than that, but what is your time worth? It seems to me the HK system seems to be more suited to an HK smith than to a "do it yourself" type.
Yes HK has a coolness factor. If I were you I would actually try one before I spent a bunch of money to build one. Once you have actually tried one you'll have a better idea if it would be worth the money to you. Good luck with your project.

I have a 53 and a 51 , both clones and I really enjoy them . My 51 has a 7" bbl . I am building a 51k based on the info posted by another member , shooting for a 4" bbl on that one . No better time to build one , receivers are available , parts sets can still be found but with one political change that could end. Germans released tons of hk33s that are flooding in but the mags and receivers are slightly more expensive for the 556

Thanks for the replys. I'm looking into a 51K project. Like you said parts and, receivers are there. I have a lot of old Machine Gun News mags. I saw them in there. I have wanted one.

I love finding old MGN and Firepower issues. Good reads that definitely wouldn't be published today!

I have a FA trigger pack that I sometimes put in a Vector 51P. Then I add a ACE folding stock or an HK A2 stock and blast away. It has never malfunctioned for me. And it is one of my favorite FUN guns to shoot. Try it, you'll like it. :banana

Here's my bro shooting my 51k- he had zero full auto experience before this. The camera picks up the fireball in a wierd way- in person, there is a HUGE fireball EVERY TIME (best with Wolf .308).

This one was affectionately named "The Obnoxinator". It has a JP type muzzle brake on the end. The blast is absolutely tremendous.

Here's mine with my MP5K for size comparison. It's a vector 51K. One bad bitch!! No matter what everyone else has at a shoot, how much it cost, how fast, how ugly,... this is the one that gets the looks when cut loose!!

Patrick- I have a Vector 53 SBR. If you have any K&K sear pack you are welcome to try it out.
You can try it even without the sear, just let me know when. PM me if you do not have my number or hypnotherapywell (remove)@bellsouth.net
