I just got in a post-sample MP5SD2 and what a cool firearm! I was amazed at how filthy the gun got after a couple hundred rounds, though. Glad I got that port brush.
Jake
gotta love how they operate with some subsonic ammo

gotta love how they operate with some subsonic ammoThey have a ported barrel and bleed down standard velocity ammo to subsonic levels. You don't ever use subsonic ammo with a ported barrel suppressed weapon like the MP5SD or Sterling L34A1.
Jake; With everyone shooting the Mk5 at Uzi Talk #5, it had well over a thousand rounds thru it that weekend. I was surprised at how clean the entire suppressor was.... including the barrel ports The ports don't ever seem to get dirty on this thing! You spoon loader is wrapped up, addressed, and has been touring all of Las Vegas this week in the back seat of my car. I'll stop by the Post Office before the week's over.

Yes the SD is nice but the whole firearm feels too big for me. I like the K with a can. It does get dirty pretty qucik but is super quiet.

I think the MP5SD has to be one of my favorite guns I have got to shoot. The only reason if I could only own one MG that I would not pick this is that an AR/M16 lower could be used to make just about anything and you are not just stuck with "one" gun.

Buy a registered HK sear or trigger box and pop in into any HK 9x series firearm you like. Similar to a M16/RDIAS.

That's what I did, I have the "kit" including the MP5, MP5SD and the sear. It's a pretty neat outfit. But the SD does get ultra dirty, and requires alot more cleaning than the MP5.

congrats Jake! Port brushes are mandatory on the SDs. They are quite possibly the dirtiest SMG out there.

Very true but I still feel you can build way more "guns" on an AR platform then you could with a HK sear. Not an option for me anyhow since I live in a "blue" state. I will have to stick to my suppressors, AOW's, and DD's :uzi

congrats jake where is the pix/video for all of us to enjoy

yeah I see what you are saying. I have both RDIAS and HK sear and seem to be shooting more HKs latley. Strange thing is I bought the HK sear for a investment (very good price at the time) and now I cant get rid of it. I keep buying more host and now have two registered HK trigger boxes comeing my way. If I could somehow get the RDIAS to work legally with .308 think I would sell the HKs though. I gave up hope of the MGI lower magwell.:(
I would love to have a SD but cans are still restriceted in my state. I have a couple sitting at my dealers when I go shoot. A can on a K gun is sweet. My dealers MP5SD just feels too big and bulky when I shoot it but its quiet as hell.

Damned if the avitars aren't looking sexier than the guns.
