Need help disassembling my AC-556F...

as I need to install a Ciener conversion tonight. Do I need to take off my pistol grip in order to pop out the trigger guard? The owners manual just shows a regular wood stock and don't know if it's different from the folder. I've never disassembled the AC and just afraid to pull on something too hard...just looked at the owners manual again and see that the trigger guard hinges and that was the flex I was feeling when I was trying to pop it out.

I don't on my mini-14 folder. I just pry between the fire control group and the inside of the trigger guard next to the grip. fcg can then be pulled out and the reciever/barrel/gas block can then be removed. HTH.

Open it the same way as a M-14. Stick the nose of a cartridge in the hole on the rear of the trigger guard loop and pry up.
