I am looking at a few AK74 kits & the Tantal keeps coming in at the lesser $$, has anyone else out there bought one? & are they crap or are they decent? The only reason for a 74 is that I have too many 47 variants as it stands & im looking for something different. Also who has the best recievers for the 74?

All the kits ive seen were very nice
But you always have to check the one your buying
may want to check with other people who have bought from the same vendor

I've got a Tantal kit and a point to check on whatever kit you might purchase is how tight the lock-up is on the opened stock. The kit I have has some slop in the open position. Probably could be welded and milled to perfection but it just adds to the build.
Would love to have a Bulgarian AK kit or on another note possibly a 74 upper for the AR.

I bought one of the Century Tantils yesterday. Been looking at it for a while - thought I might as well get it while I could. $600 out the door at the local gun store. Have not fired it. Stock is very tight. Came with 2 mags and a bipod which is a joke.
Will report when I shoot it.

Went out and shot 25 rounds through my Century Tantil yesterday. Had two hang-ups - Fail to Fire and one instance where you could not pull the bolt back for some reason.
Could have been ammo related - I was shooting Wolf. I dunno. Is sweet shooting an AK without the recoil. The sights do not even move when you shoot it.
