View Full Version : Full Auto Krinkovs

I've noticed a lot of semi-auto Krinkov pistols and S.B.R.s. Seems like a lot of kits have been converted into these.

As far as full auto Krinkovs (AK74 SU) made from quality all matching kits; how common are these guns and why don't you see more for sale? I noticed that surplus ammo in 5.45x39 is cheaper than some lesser quality surplus pistol ammo. I'm surprised the guns are not more popular with class 3 shooters.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
BD

their are a decent amount. They are just expensive compared to the other NFA alternatives. At least that is how I see it.

Happy owners would be less inclined to part with them. I would love to own one and I expect it would be one of the very last to go if I were selling.

I have an FA yugo krink and its a blast to shoot , the fireball is longer than the gun , I also have an FA ak74 and its one of my favorite fa guns to shoot, very controlable ,

Here is a link to a vid clip of me shooting the yugo in my back yard, the air compressor kicked off right as I started shooting and screwed up the audio but the vid is decent

a little off topic but check out my maxim vid also if you have a minute

Thanks for all the input. I'm trying to decide if I want to sell mine. Since I really have no place to shoot it, I'd rather try and get most of the money I have in it out of it. Maybe get a good subgun with a silencer.

It only took one mag in full auto to convince me that I wasn't going to make friends with the Sheriff's Dept..It was a blast to shoot, but despite 20 acres in the middle of nowhere with a good backstop, I got a "drive by" visit within 10 minutes

I guess I was really curious because I rarely hear anyone talking about them or placing WTB ads.

I watched your Maxim video. Now that's awesome! I'm sure I couldn't get away with shooting that on the "back 20"!

Where do you live that you can shoot guns like that without helicopters, patrol cars, L.E.D. strobe lights, and vicious dogs showing up?

I live in Nth Fla, up on the top end where the few remaining southerners still live, That maxim vid was done at the local PD range which is about 3 miles from me,

All my other vids were done right here in the yard , I only have about 5 acres but there has been a shooting range in continouis operation here since 1967 and thanks to the range protection act it will continue , also helps that I am at the dead end of a dirt road and my backstop is thousands of acres of fed game preserve.

Don't worry about the drive-by's, eventually, they will be accustomed to the calls and not bother. Tannerite still brings 'em out for a look see, but the gate is locked and posted.

BDMerc,

Give the local cop-shop a call the next time you want to light-up the krink. Tell them to bring a fellow cop or two if they wish. When they get there, show them your wares, field strip the krink and show them how it works. If you have not already, research your firearm and share that knowledge with them. Show them the Form 4, original and copy, explain what a Form 4 is, how difficult they are to obtain and why all of that is important. And most important, offer to let them shoot. Most cops are firearms enthusiasts off-duty and this little experiment will let them know who you are and that you are an upstanding individual. It will likely change their perception of you from:
"Hey! We just got another call! That Full Auto nutjob is at it again!"
to
"The phones are lighting-up again. I wonder if Merc added something new to his collection?"

Agree 100%. Nothing works better than a pre-emptive, level headed explaination and dose of the truth. The above post says it all!

As of now all they know is that you are shooting an AK that looks like the one bin Laden uses as a background prop in his hate videos.

When I moved to AZ the first thing I wanted to do was get into MGs. I had planned (for years) to get the "Big 3": M16, UZI, and an AK-47. At the time I started to acquire my dream team the Colt M16A1 was $7200, the Vector UZI SMG was $3995, and the AK-47 was $12,000. I got the first 2 within the first year. A year later I bought a 13" AC556... soooo much cheaper than an AK-47 that I really wanted.

The price of AK MGs had now gotten up to the $17K+ range. I did notice most folks that owned the full stocked AKs and even some of the under folders were sending then to SOTs to have them turned into Krinks. Not only did they look cooler, but their value had gone up more than the cost of the conversion.

Still out of my price range (set by the trouble the expense would cause with my wife) I decided to get a Vector Mini UZI, now about the same $$$ as I paid for the Colt several years earlier. I did buy a Vector M92 SBR for $930 to get my Krink fix. I find bump firing the Yugo on occasion to satisfy the urge to own the MG version. The $12,000 or so saving helps defray additional ammo costs. Besides, I really enjoy shooting the Mini with Troy's heavy bolt, OTAL laser, and the Vector suppressor.

There is nothing prettier than an AK-47 or 74 for that matter. Than having two notches on your receiver. I miss mine that's for sure. :cry

I'm thinking about buying a Civil War replica cannon next; maybe I'll "arc" a few tennis balls toward City Hall! Anybody know where I can get a good quality cannon?
BTW, I think I sold my Krink today. I'm really going to miss it, and especially miss keeping the "kids" of the Deputy's I use to work with, busy with "Gladis Kravits" complaints about machine guns being fired!

Yeah, I'll always show my Forms for any NFA, but I'm not going to show them my balls! (tennis balls, that is!). Read about me in the Papers: I'm going straight to Obama and tell him I can't afford enough land to safely shoot my cannon! Maybe he will put me in touch with his "Staffers" so they can help me get more land, and maybe even a small economical car, and a bathroom!

This gun started out a Norinco AK that was converted to f/a and registered before '86. Later it was made into a Yugo M92 when the kits became available. Nothing beats Wolf for fireballs!

Frank,

You can get the same "light show" (if not, better) with the "zig-zag" moderater on the 5.45x39 mm, for a lot cheaper per mag dump , and with a much improved folding stock! I've tried both and I kept the .22!

(Recognized your photo from a previous e-mail conversation; still can't understand the fascinaction with the 7.62 in a Krink, considering ammo cost, availability, and F.A. controllability!)

Happy trails!

I have another Chinese F/A conversion that I had Don Quinnel convert to a 5.45x39 AK-74, I have fired it at night shoots, with very little resulting muzzle flash, of course it has a 16.25-inch barrel....big difference...I am not really into flash and awe, just thought someone would appreciate seeing the pic since this thread is about flash and NOISE

Get a "zig zag" moderator. I think they are designed for multi use in either caliber. Bet you would really get a "fireball" out of your 7.62 Krink with it installed.

Great picture though. I took the liberty of using it as my computer screen saver, so hope you don't mind.

Happy trails!
