I thought about loading a few blanks for my Thompson for the 4th of July.
Does anyone have a receipe for .45 ACP blanks?

Some one told me they used corigated wading, but I have no experience w/ this.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Well, let me throw out some ideas.
I've made black powder blanks using styro foam disc's and a blank crimp.

I don't want to use a blank powder. I don't have time to find any and its dangerous stuff....close to flash powder.

What I thought I'd try is some balsa wood or styro plugs tapered crimped and sealed w/ wax.

I need some fast pistol powder or fast powder suggestions.

I have a blank firing cigar cannon that uses .45 ACP that I can fire from a safe distance to test loads.

Ok any suggestions on powder?

I just use live ammo and aim high.

Yeah, That'll do for sure.....

I have some RedDot and Green Dot. I have a receipe for 8g w/ a stryo& balsa wad. I will seal the top w/ some wax.

My secound try would be using a small dowel cut to shape into a wad cutter and seated against 8g of RedDot.

I don't have a blank compensator on my Tommy, but it should fire singles
I'll mess w/ it later today after work.
