If you can give me some input, prices, sources, etc. I am interested in getting one. I spoke with vmhytech today and it is a little pricy....about $160.00
I would like to know experience with these and whatever else I need to know.

I bought one of these about two weeks ago, but it was only $130.00. See this thread:

It appears to be very heavy duty, and fit the mag well in my AR just fine. The only bad point is that I had to file and sand on the adapter for about an hour to open it up so IMI UZI mags would fit.

Awesome. Thank you for the super quick response. That's a good price on that.
I literally just registered here, posted, and in less than 5 minutes had a reply with what I was looking for. I am impressed with uzitalk.com!
Thank you.

Hey Kungfu, how about buying an UZI to go with your UZI mags? Someone just posted that they are interested in selling an IMI semi auto:

I already have two NFA Uzis.
My Vector full size is at home on form 4 which is still new in the box and will always stay that way, and a Flemming full size is waiting on my form 4 to sloooowly work its way through NFA branch.
Main reason for getting the adaptor is I already have 5 60rd uzi mags (from Bustoff) and 2 32 rd. I use sten mags in the M16 right now, but they are a pain in the a** to load, so with the rapid loader, stripper clips, uzi mags, and the adaptor my life is going to get a whole lot easier.
Hey, thanks for the welcome guys.

Cookie, how does yours work with 25 and 32 rd mags? I have been following the thread on AR15.com and was thinking of going that route now that I have more Uzi mags than Colt 9mm mags. But it needs to work with the 32rd mags for it to be worth the effort for me. Seems like some of the guys that have bought them have trouble with newer mags and with non IMI contract mags. I have not seen anybody mention using 32 rd mags so far.

I had to file it quite a bit for IMI 32 rounders to work. Now they slide in & out just like, well, they slide easily. ;)

That looks great, especially with the Group logo.

Thanks for the input guys, I figured I would have to "fit" the mag block to make it work but was not sure about the 32 rd mags. Looks like I need to order a block now! I picked up a rate reducer at Knob Creek and just sent my bolt to Joeblack for ramping, this should complete my M16 9mm upgrade.

I got an complete Olympic Arms upper on mine and the bolt does not need ramping. FYI for anyone interested in 9mm upper on M16 in the future, Olympic Arms is the only company that the bolt does not need messed with or ramped.

Kungfu, I thought the Olympic uppers won't work w/ dual feed mags like the UZIs.
Were you planning on using that VM Hytech block w/ your Olympic 9mm upper? From what I've heard/read, I don't think it will work.
The Olympic system works in the larger calibers using the .45/.41AE UZI mags which are single feed but I've never heard of them working w/ the dual feed UZI mags but I don't have any first hand experience w/ the Olympic system either.
As a sidenote, do you practice any kungfu?

I read your post, contacted Ameetec-Arms about 10 minutes ago, and asked them about Olympic Arms uppers working or not with that adaptor. They said as long as it is a 9mm upper it should work. Of course I will let you guys know if for some reason it will not work with an Olympic upper, but I just calmed myself down about it so I'm not worrying.
I've always liked Kung-Fu movies since a kid, so thats why I chose the username.

You may want to check out this thread:
http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=15&t=187124
"The Hy-Tech block is for the Colt style 9mm set ups. The Oly uses a different system and thus, you are stuck w/ using the modified (ie block welded to the back) Stens. The only mag I've seen used in the Oly 9mm is the Sten mag."
Here are some quotes from the Olympic website:
"The Uzi mags, because of their versatility, are used for the 45 ACP, 40 S&W, and 10mm conversions."
"Sten mags are used exclusively for the 9mm conversion system. "
Let us know what you find out but it looks like you can't use the 9mm UZI mags for a 9mm Olympic setup.

I use the ASA drop in,- works great with Uzi mags, though it doesn't have a last shot bolt hold-open. joeblack grooved the feed lips for me, and it shoots hollow point ammo great, as well as Walmart Winchester.
easy in (had to clean the mag well 1st!!) & have had no problems with any mags not sliding in & locking. DSA arms surplus, IMI, and even some cheap USA crap!! though the USA mags wont' hold 32rds and feed, thinking bout buying some good springs & see if that helps with the USA mag problem.
joeblack does great work, except he always exceeds my expectations.......
