Just wondering why my mini uzi runs faster with my suppressor. I have been using 115 and 124 gr. rounds, but have some 147's now for the coming weekend.

Will the different loads affect this as well?

Increased back pressure. the 147s will slow it down.

I imagine it's the slower bleeding of barrel pressure. Similar to the effect of a restrictive muffler on an internal combustion engine: less throughput of gas in the exhaust phase of the cycle, hence more back pressure, hence excess use of power to pump the exhaust out of the engine.

will also force the weapon & suppressor forward & act as a muzzle brake... increasing stability.

Also, free-bore boost will slightly increase the velocity of the projo.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Getting into C3 has opened up a whole new world of discoveries, as well as questions. :)

With increased back pressure from the suppressor you also get a dirtier firearm. That's one of the reasons I reload 9mm 147 grn when I can buy it almost as cheaply. I use a really clean recipe to extend my shooting pleasure. :cool

And for her pleasure, too, right? I'm sure if you asked your Uzi, she prefers the clean approach....
