I have one of these 16 round loaders from Vector and I highly recommend it. While it does save time, more importantly for me it saves frustration and wear and tear on my thumb. The only mags that don't work well with it are the South Africa 25 round mags ("S8" mags). Those mags seem to be wider front to back and don't fit into the loader too well. Everything else I've tried works great. It's well worth $35.

It looks to be made of plastic, is it some type of fiber reinforced resin ?

Yup, it's fiber reinforced. I haven't had it that long so I can't give you any feedback on durability yet. The handle where you push down can be unscrewed and presumably you could buy a new one if that one broke.

It's made by Cammenga. It's stamped on the side.

Yep, that is the Cammenga loader. I have that one for the Uzi as well as another Cammenga for the M16 in 223. I've heard some say they have broken the plastic Cammengas. I've never seen it done but just to be safe I bought a metal version of it.
See link below. It is similar to the Cammenga but made of steel

I also use the the C3 rapid loader too which is the fastest if you already have rounds on the stripper clips.
The cheapest place I know of to get the C3 rapid loader is

They have them for 14.97 or 13.47 if you're a buyer's club member.
I personally find bouncing the rounds in the mag instead of using a loader most of the time though.

There used to be a company that made steel framed loaders---RDC, I have the AR/M-16 mag loader. Do not use it much, I can load a mag faster by hand.

wow they have the uni clip loader for $15!!!! They say it's made of Zytel though, isn't that bad?

I found it here too for $10 at another place and you only get 3 uni-clips. They don't sell extra clips. They have about a ton of choices for UZIs, can anybody make any of this out? They are Zytel too.
