For those of you that were in attendance at the first annual UZI Talk Match, I'm sure you met our subgun match director Tony Dee. He's very active in many facets of the shooting sports both locally and on the national level. He's also one of the best subgun match directors to be found anywhere.

I just received my August copy of Small Arms Review in the mail and read with interest another of Tony's articles. Just wanted to let those of you that were at the match know that Tony has another published article in SAR and give others thinking about atending next year's UZI Talk festivities a small visual of where the match is located.

Tony told me that his report to the club board after the UZI Talk match was very well received and some of the members took the time to review the excellent report from Rover Dave on the first annual UZI Talk Shoot and Match. The board was impressed enough to cover the cost of the plaques for our match and welcomes us next year. Tony has already begun to dream up devious stages for next year's match, and is excited at the prospect of doing it again.

If you have even the slightest interest in coming to nex year's event, I'd strongly suggest you get those 5320.20s filled out and in the mail. The dates should reflect travel for a full year and are always approved as such.

Oh, and I suppose I SHOULD mention that Tony took first place in the first VIMBAR World Championship!

I read Tony's article last week. I'd love to participate in the VIMBAR competition. Sounds like a great event.

Tony did an excellent job with the SMG match at the first UZI Talk gathering and I'm sure next year will be even better.

Tony used a 98 Mauser to win and they shot at targets that ranged in distance from 200 to 350yards away. No optics or range finders, just stock open sights as supplied with vintage bolt action military rifles. They included several stages that made use of a beltfeed 1919 A4, period pistols, and scatterguns. Reading this certainly stirred a desire to investigate this discipline further!

If you have an interest in full auto weapons, then you NEED Small Arms Review!

Almost forgot. This issue contained a review of the stock Drzod air gun that MuzzleFlash purchased and reviewed here on U.T.
