Heya! First time poster here, been lurking a bit, spreading the word about this site when I can.

Anyway, I have a semiauto franken-uzi that I built a while ago, and I'm pleased by its accuracy. It has a 16" barrel, and permanently attached wooden stock. I can usually shoot 3" groups at 100 yards with iron sights. That's shooting 148 grain 9mm. It's more accurate than my AK style rifles. Is this typical? How about you other owner/operators? How do your uzis add up?

mostly just practicing at short ranges, 25 and 50 yds. I use paper plates. If I can keep the better part of a 25 rnd mag in there I find this acceptable. I think the Uzi is pretty accurate, particularly first round hits in a burst.

I am a S/A UZI person. I'm not saying my pistol is National Match quality but I will put up against just about anything out of the box. Put it this way, I believe it is more accurate than most shooters can shoot. The secret is being strong enough to shoot steady with it's weight. (which is a benefit in dampening felt recoil for next shot placement accuracy) The trigger is not that bad either for a weapon of this type.:uzi:
