need a bolt

This forum is great!!! Lots of useful info and links. I recently bought a semi-auto model B in .45 cal. I would like to convert it
to 9mm. I can't seem to find a 9mm bolt with the notch in it. My receiver has a bar on side that slides through bolt. I guess this
was put on the B's to make it harder to convert them to full auto.
Does anybody know where I can purchase a bolt.

93horseman, welcome to Uzitalk. We're glad you joined us.

All of the semi-auto IMI's (model A's & B's) have the bar welded to the inside of the receiver to prevent the use of a full auto bolt. Don't even think about removing the bar unless you want to get into some serious trouble.

I think the 45 ACP conversion kits are a little easier to find but you'll find a 9mm conversion kit sooner or later. You'll need a barrel, a bolt and of course a magazine. (Or MANY magazines.) Be sure to check out the links section of Uzitalk and periodically check the auction sites. One will turn up.

Provide D+D sales with a SMG bolt and they will cut it into a striker fired semi auto bolt.

I don't know if the spring/striker assy off the 45 is the same but they sell those also.
