I just ordered my RF Galil ARM .223, $1700. I know, it's not the orginal, but $3000.00 for the orginal is a little steep. Call it "Attack of the Clones".

Photos and range report are a must!

Is it an ARM or AR? (or do they give a choice?)

It's an ARM with all the evil features.:D All the furniture is black. Will post pics and range report when it arrives.

My RF Galil ARM 223 just arrived. Quality is outstanding, I'm very impressed. I've seen orginal IMI Galil and this is good! Will be taking her to the range tomorrow to test.

I've noticed so far:

* Dry firing, trigger is very smooth.
* No trit. front or rear post's, I understand, can add to it.

Guys,

Here are some good sites to buy Galil .223 mag's. I bought ten metal IMI 35rders from GunThings.com. $27.00 per mag, sweet!

www.Gunthings.com
www.prebanmag.com

Very good deals.

Ed,

Sorry for the range report delay. I know Grassyknoll wanted me to report back, just been busy.

With the RF Galil, I am very satisfied with the weapon being a clone. I only brought 50 rounds to the range, I forgot my 500rd ammo box of .223, man was I pissed. I had two jams at first, after that, the Galil was fine. Accuracy, she shots a little to the left, I was shotting 100 yds open sights, was hitting the 7/6 ring, 7/8 o'clock, front sight is easy to adjust. I just got my Isreali sling for the Galil, this way I will be able to lock in better on my target.

Rifle didn't come with manual and I have never dismantled a Galil/AK before, but I wasn't that complicated at all if you are familiar with assualt rifles.

Flashhider is just like the ar-15, good lock up on the folding stock, and the bi-pod is just sweet! No night sight post on front or back sights.

I also picked up 10x 35rd magazines from Gunthings.com. All magazines are cherry condition, they look brand new.... :D :

Thanks for the report Neo. Glad to know things have worked

out well. I had purchased an ORF receiver and a parts kit.

Just this week I sent it all to Todd for assembly.

It's kinda fun hunting down just the exact parts you want to use.

My buttstock and handguard are from an R4 - they are both

longer and I preferred them. It's going to be all black- just like

yours. I will post some pics and a range report when it arrives (4-6 weeks).

Thanks again:

Ed

Awesome looking rifle. I noticed that it doesn't have an ambie safety installed like they do on the originals, is there a reason for that? That said, I believe ORF receivers are cut to accept one however.

I just picked up some 50 round steel IMI mags from a guy off of Sturmgewehr for $30/ea. Only one 35 rounder came with this ORF GALIL. This is a real good looking and working gun! Has the price gone up that much? Glad I got one of these a year ago.
