I recently broke the windage knob off of my BSA Platinum scope (8-32 x 40) that I use on my FAL.
I called the number on the warranty card and the lady told me to send the scope back to the address listed with a $10 check for shipping and handling and they'd make a determination whether to repair at their or my cost.
About 10 days later I get a package in the mail...a brand new scope, at no charge other than the $10.00 shipping.
Not bad service, especially for a $110 scope. I've mentioned elsewhere that the quality of the scope is excellent for the price, and the new one (it appears to be a newer model) is even more clear than my old one.
If you want a good scope at low price, I'd recommend the BSA Platinum scopes without reservation, especially in light of the excellent service I received.
