What do the members on this site "Feed" their Uzi's. I want to use the right ammo so that I am assured that I don't damage my investment. I have heard "Pros" and Cons on Wolf and S&B. Please help me out here for this is my first 9mm.

Thanks

Ron

My diet is all reloads. I get all my brass from LE I shoot IPSC with, and those that have deeper pockets than myself, they buy new ammo and leave the empties. Through the years I have used a lot of lead, and jackets. Currently, I'm doing 147/150gr sub-sonics for approx $70/1000. I can do 124's for less.

Basically the Uzi (especially those that have the feed ramp as in the semi-auto) will "eat" any bullet profile. Biggest concern is weak ammo, as it does take a degree of "UUMPHH" to get that heavy bolt to do a complete cycle. Standard name brand 124 should be fine, and +P or +P+ are ok. The owners manual states SAMMI, but NATO spec ammo is fine.

Selva-

You didn't mention whether you have FA or semi or what model you recently acquired. One important detail to remember is you want to use ammo that will allow proper functioning. Low pressure rounds can interrupt proper function and cause failures such as failure to extract etc.

If you reload or are planning to make sure you check out our Reloading Section as members have posted recipes.

I have found that just about any commercially loaded 9mm will do but beware of reloads as you can not always be assured of specs and a few brands such as Wolf and S&B . I do not shoot FA so other members will be able to help you with specific loads and brands that will operate properly

Congratulations on your recent purchase, I'm sure you will be thrilled with it's performance and proud to be it's owner.

Welcome to the forum and get ready to enjoy a great place to ask questions and gather info on your UZI.:D :welcome :uzi

JIMBO,

With my current budget, I can only go the semi route now. I hope to step to "Big Leagues" someday. Why Waltz, When You Can Rock and Roll.
