Sterling Lugs for Optics - Any Negatives?

Have just about decided to have made a pair of optical mounting studs for the DLO tube (or if someone has them or a drawing for sale that is also an option).

Any down side to having optical mounting studs on a Sterling?

Plus have no idea how much milling / drilling of the OEM scope mount is required to fit a low mounted modern optical sight such as an Aimpoint or Eotech. Anyone with experence, always appreciate photos and comments.

Lastly wating on my "Sterling Book" (should be here with in the week) so have no idea what the Brit's mounted on the optical mouning studs. Hints or links to photos as always appreciated

I understand that Frank Powell (FCP Tactical Supply), is having his next Andrewski built batch of Sterlings made with the mounting studs. Wish it was an option when I bought mine. Follow the link stymie posted for factory mounts.
