View Full Version : Boy this waiting sucks...

I know that the rest of you feel the same way.

The new post light bulb on the forum hasn't been on for a while.

I did order some more NIW Sterling mags from OOW late last week to take off the edge, though. Oh, and some spare parts from Paul Sadowski.

How 'bout you?

Mario

I feel your pain! The wait will be worth it. Once everyone has theirs, I am afraid that the only thing that we will discuss is how darn controllable and reliable they are! Mine is starting to show some wear! Right where the mags go in!

I try to do just that!

This could be a banner year though... two sold, two delivered, and three in the pipeline.

Edited to add: Make that two in the pipeline, my dealer called me this morning to come get the AC-556!

It is more than likely the last hurrah though, unless my search for a new employer is successful and there is a jump in my income. If not then it will be time to go back and get all the little stuff that has been by-passed in my rush for the big ticket items.

And of course... ammo.

I was at my dealer's place yesterday and saw my Sterling for the first time. Actually it's the first time I've seen a Sterling in person. What a beautiful gun! Great design. It's a joy to hold either with the stock folded or unfolded. And these Andrewski guns are so well made. I think it was the hardest time I've ever had leaving it behind.

Dave-
Those sound like the same conditions that I bought mine under. I was really suprised how sweet it looked and felt when I first saw it in person.

Did you at least get to shoot it while you were there? That will really get you hooked! It reminds me of my Swedish K but it is lighter and handier.

I was very disappointed that shooting it wasn't an option. It was late at night, very dark, foggy, raining hard and terrible wind. I didn't want to take her out in the nasty weather - especially when I couldn't take it home and clean it up properly.

Hopefully, I'll have the Sterling and S&W76 before Christmas. Yes, I'm shooting the others, but still getting impatient to have them in my hands.

Think I'll pull out the mags and get 'em ready.

I don't think that I'll be seeing my Sterling and Mini Uzi until January or so.

The AC-556 that I sent in the paperwork on, in June, just arrived "approved" yesterday.

It would seem the C3 Gods are are still toying with my Sterling transfer. I paid for the gun in full back in May and a series of set backs and errors at every turn have been my fate. I just received my F4 CLEO sign off in the mail today after I asked them to call me so I could pick them up in person as I typically do. The forms were approved three weeks ago and they took their sweet time to mail them... sounds a lot like BATF&E huh? Either this will be the fastest turn around time ever, (yeah right), or more likely, the rash of bad luck will continue to plague me and I'll get the Sterling in a couple of years.

I sent a check for two suppressors in March. At the end of May, Doug at SRT is notified that my Dealer's license had expired (they didn't have it updated after the Dealer renewed it). Issue is resolved and the paperwork is resubmitted. Doug e-mailed last week that the form 3s were approved. Soon I'll start the Form 4s. The way it's going, I'm hoping to get them back by year end.
