Hi,
I have a SWD M11 in 9mm that won't run. The bullets catch on the bottom of the feed ramp. It will some times fire the first five or six rounds but then nothing just a bullet jammed against the feed ramp. Adjusting the Recon Ord mags doesn't seem to help. These mags work flawlessly in my M11A1 in .380.
I opened up the feed lips to no significant effect.
Thanks,
Pinkerton OUT!

Did you chk to see if there is to much clearence between the catch on the mag and the mag catch? I've had the same prob on my M-10 45 with grease gun mags that have had to much material removed.

What type of ammo are you using? My M11/9 SMG wouldn't feed hollowpoints for nothing. Trunicated cone isn't too much better.
I assume you've tried several different mags? I had the same
type of feeding problem with a couple of factory Zytel mags, but the Recon Ordnance mags from Jerry Prasser generally worked fine. I did have one that sat too high and Jerry exchanged it with out hesitation.
Almost sounds like a mag catsh issue or ammo diet.

Virtually all M11 feed problems are mag related. You may have the feedlips opened up too much. If the bullet tips up and the nose is near center of the chamber, the mag lips are too wide. Compress them down until you have about a 5 degree up angle from the top of the mag. Also, if you hadn't fudged with the mags, I would have recommended that you hold the mag up in place while firing to check the mag catch position.
I'd concur with what others here have already said. Mag is either sitting too high, or the mag lips are spread too far apart causing it to feed at too steep of an angle.
