couple questions for you guys that are experienced in Uzi's in general, Vector's specifically.

Ammo...heard several good things on S and B. I noticed that fmj and hp are the same price.

Will Vector's feed jhp without modification?

if modification needed, who does this type of work?

The only Uzi's i ever fired was the folding metal stocks which i think are SSSSOOOOOOOOO cool....any advantage to the wooden stocks?

Someone e mail me if they trip over a supply of 32 rd IMI mags...want to stock up now so i will have them on hand.

thanks in advance

You can't reliably feed JHPs or flat nosed rounds unless you had an optional semi auto feed ramp installed by Vector ($50 option). I had one installed.

There was a set of 5 brand new, in the box IMI 32 round mags on one of the auction sites recently. They went for $60 each!! Someone wanted them really badly!

I bought 5 40-round Argentine mags for $35 each. They fit fine in my parts kit handle, but I'm not sure how they function since my damn uzi is still in Texas. I can't understand why anyone would want to pay $50-$60 for 32-round mags when the 25-round ones are dirt cheap. Are the 7 extra rounds worth 2-3 times the cost? Are you taking it on a commando raid?

Kinda like guys who pay $125 for a 13-round Glock mag when a 10-rounder costs $15.

A man and his Uzi ought never be separated.

PMF-I think the logic is the same as paying $3750 for a full auto full size Vector Uzi when, a. You can buy a semi auto for around a grand. b. I cant even justify buying the semi but i bought the full auto. It's not about justification....ever own the absolute best of anything, whether it be a car or a inkpen, its a strong pull. Besides being an adult (?) thankfully i dont have to justify why i want something.

Rambling from someone going stir crazy waiting on paperwork, thanks all.

Well it made more sense 3 months ago when a full size was $2850!

I was bidding on those mags and I think the guy who won uses a snipe software to bid . . .

I bought alot of junk so called IMI magazines before I decide that unless it is REAL IMI I ain't buying it.

I wanted the mags because they were actually still in boxes. A rare item let alone being a a REAL IMI

Thanks!

Since the questions on the ammo have been answered sufficiently I'll throw one in about the stock. Depending on how hard your cheekbones are, and how tough the skin is on your face, a wooden stock is much more comfortable to shoot with.
Although it does not collapse into a one piece unit, it does detatch and can easily be stowed in a case with the gun, usually connected with the sling.
I picked up a used stock from a friend. it was part of an old parts kit he had. Mine has a straight comb on it not the dipped out ones as illustrated on the Vector site. My stock may look a little ragged, but its one hell of an improvement over the edge of a 1/8+- piece of steel sawing away at your cheek for two hours.
If you plan to shoot much, it would be wise to get a wooden stock. Besides, its part of the complete accessories package that every Uzi owner should have.
P.S. S&B ammo is very good ammo, matter of fact its excellent ammo for both pistols and subguns and its usually very reasonably priced. Stock up...you can't go wrong. the brass is also excellent for reloading.
