My Vector Uzi was here waiting for me, back from repair. Will test it on Saturday. I haven't removed the furniture to look at the welds, but the receiver has has been refinished and looks good. New furniture, top cover, trunnion welds, barrel alignment, new barrel nut catch and test fired.
Will post results of range test this weekend.
By the way J2T.....it was her stapler :D I already emailed her the photos.
Your copies are at Raging Bull.

Well, brought the repaired Uzi to the range today. Other than needing a large sight correction it fired fine.
I did have one failure to extract while another shooter was shooting it. I'll chalk that up to a non chromed parts kit barrel with an unpolished chamber. All other mags functioned flawlessly. I did forget to put the buffer in it and also didn't have one in my range box :(, so it was chug chug chug that the standard rate of fire produces.....oooh the pain :D
First target fired grouping was 12 inches high and 5 inches right. Had to get a whole silhouette target on the backstop to see where they were hitting amongst the well shot up backboard...a 6 inch "shoot N see" stick on wasn't cutting the mustard.....at least not on the initial adjustments. Once adjusted it was shooting very well. Now next step will be to see if the .22 kit still functions in it. Looks like the receiver is just a bit narrower than when it was sent out, and probably from jigging it up for welding.
