Can anyone tell me what it takes and costs to register a model b carbine as a SBR so I can put a SMG barrel on it.
Thanks, Derek

Apparently the Bushmaster barrels will work in the carbine. They sell both the 10" & 16" versions. Chrome-lined so they are supposed to be better quality than the originals. Only downside is somebody said they are backordered right now.

Thanks for the replys, seems like alot of hassle and expense, same as a FA, so might as well go for a FA upgrade.

You're right that the paperwork and restrictions are essentially the same for an SBR and a FA. Price is definitely two different leagues.

Yea, seeing the price and thinking about it, if I do anything at this point it would be SBR. But I still think, this is just robbery, but, sa le vie (sp I ain't french), such is life!

$200 tax is a lot of money but it's nothing compared to what it used to be. When the National Firearms Act was passed back in 1934 and people could buy a new machinegun for $20, paying a $200 tax was killer! It's the resistration, restrictions and waiting that actually bother me more than the tax.

Do you see all the stress full autos cause ? See, I don't have to worry about any of that full auto stuff. Everything is just so much simpler when you live in a semi auto only state like the beautiful Emerald State of Washington.
OK !!! I can't wait to get that good night sleep tonight just knowing that tomorrow I get to wake up and have nothing but semi-auto to look forward to. Ain't life grand ? CRAP!!!!
:pissed :mad :bang :uzi :finger--> Washington FA Law.
