Come on this guy has to have some friends or family who can give him some chill pills and help him to relax a bit, he is destroying his own board. He calls it donantions then complains, intimidates, and threatens to remove service is people don't start ponying up with supposed free-will donations.
I think that someone needs some time at the Obessive Compulisve disorder clinic.
Too bad, it was one of the top gun boards ever, now one can not visit it for a week at a time and not miss anything as only a handfull of new posts have happended in that missing week.
Will the last gun owner allowed to post on this board please shut off the server on the way out.

Donations..Still Waiting..One month later.40%Nada
Translation.......Even After One Month of Waiting....
40% of the "Hey, Buddy...Send me your Mailing Address" bunch.....
Have failed to mail their Donation.....
Yup...40%.......NADA !
Even more sad is the Lack of Support From The NFA Board......
You know the BIG BUCKS BOARD....5K...12K....20K...35K...55K....PER WEAPON!
Ya DON'T see those prices on the other Market Boards...do you ??
Less than 5% of those guys even Bothered to help out the VERY Board that HELPS THEM.....
Perhaps doing Away with the NFA Board altogether ...WILL get their Attention !
Boy...I can HEAR the WHINNING Already !!!
Thanks to the FEW guys that did Donate.....see the names posted down this board.
Andy....David and Myself DO Appreciate Your Support !!!
And for the other 95%.....you guys really do NOT Support This Board !
Sad Bunch...........
Merry Christmas Anyway.........

My sentiments exactly. 2 years a go I would go there all the time, now it is 1-2 a month, maybe never again.

Agree -- If Buddy wants an income to help pay for the board -- he could just charge for the advertisements instead of what he is doing. BUT -- it's his board as he is very willing to let you know if you even question one issue. Nevertheless, it is sad to see it moving downhill.

You guys need to THINK before posting... and include your state in the title! :cool
You're preaching to the choir. I was banned from there a long time ago for calling a spade a spade.

The financial cost in running a pure text based system is minimal. The fact of the matter is that the cost to run a text based bulletin board system such as subguns, sturmgewehr or similar would be less than $50 a month from most hosting providers. More likely $20-$30. The moment you add in image hosting you enter another level all together.
The real cost is in time invested to make sure the rules you set are being followed and that your spot on the net is as asshole free as you want it. It's purely a management style decision. Running anything on the internet isn't easy when you allow people to post input and over time it does begin to wear on you.
My experience has been that like with Uzi Talk when something is done because it is your passion and you love it, you always seem make out just fine. People see it for what it is and they want it to flourish and continue so they help and support however they can. Nobody likes to see something good die.
The desire to better each other and themselves is obvious with both the admin team here and the people who frequent here. Uzitalk.com does not need us to survive since the information it contains retains its value with or without people discussing it. However the NFA boards need the people on them as much as the people need the board. With nobody in the market there is no value to being there or for it to exist.
I'm not one for the politics of gun boards since I just appreciate that they are there. If something strikes me as bad on a particular forum I simply don't visit there any more.
I think there is a moral to the story in there somewhere.
My 2 cents

Thanks for the kind words. We're definitely not dying.
I can't speak for Buddy or his motives, but I don't frequent his board like I used to. Running a bulletin board requires a lot of time, dedication, and imagination - from the members as well as the staff. I believe that if you (Buddy, me, whomever) run your board as a hobby (like this one), then you accept the risk of funding it out of your own wallet - and not being appreciated for doing so. If finances are that big of a deal, then perhaps it's time for him to go commercial.

My point exactly. :D
I figure if things get tight for money you can always put up an adult members area to view the RoverDave football game photo. In some parts of the world it might be considered porn.

downward spiral .. agreed .. he's either forgetting its a free board .. getting greedy .. or loosin it ..
its the last GOOD free board out there and he's turning Nazi on it .. worst part .. assholes on the board are suckering into his beliefs ..and throwin fuel on the fire .. eggin him on .. etc ..
if i wanna pay for an ad ill go to subguns and pay for an add .. good advertisement for a fair price .. NO BS .. no beggin for free lunches .. just pay the 5 bucks and post your ad .. No scam artists at subguns .. yes you pay for the ad .. if its a rifle but hey .. at least you KNOW your payin FIVE bucks and thats IT .. for the ad .. and if you make a mistake .. your not belittled and told ... THINK ... ...
i still visit his board in hopes of catchin a steal or when im lookin for somethin i cant find anywhere else but .. its OBVIOUS .. somethin isnt right over there .. buddy hitler .. he didnt get that nickname for nothin .. and its gettin worse ..

I think he is getting tired of policeing it and was looking for a little bit of a kick back for his time... It is a lot of time invested... I think it is wearing on him...

Maybe now would be a good time to start a competitive board. I've been thinking about setting up www.FullAutoNakedBabes.com. Anybody interested in a membership? :D

Well in that case I'll re-submit a slightly modified version of my suggestion for the MacTalk group name. Let's call it fullautoMurderDeathKillKillKill.com The press would love it.
Once again, just kidding.

I wouldn't go to Buddy's Board if he paid me. I removed him from my Favorites list totally. It is very annoying to try and read a board with FREE LUNCH PROGRAM all through it. He should get a job like the rest of us if he wants income. I don't post that much on any board, but his SUCKS.
