My Dad was in intel.

He swore up and down that in the 70's the US got a few galil's and decided to test em out.

They threw em in water, buried em in sand, and ran em over with a car.

And all of em shot well.

You guys ever heard that?

I wouldn't doubt it. I mean after all, it does have a built in bottle opener, wire cutter and bipod. LOL, it's like the swiss army knife of guns. Plus it was made by the Israel underground resistance.

The IMI rep use to do this for the gun mag writers in the early 80's. He would throw them under water, then bury them in the sand. After that, he would remove the top cover and fill it full of sand, then shoot the gun. The first 2-3 rounds would fire, but the cocking handle needed to be pushed into battery until some of the sand worked its way out of the gun. After that it worked fine. He did the same with the full size Uzi.
