A number of people have asked about AK bolt carriers in the Galils. Here are pics of 2 of my 3 Galils that have them. They are AK47 stainless carriers. The top rifle is a 7.62, the lower is 5.56 which is also shown with top cover off. off.

I don't see why it wouldn't, but will an R5 front sight hood interchange with a Galil front sight hood? I think the only difference is the Galil has a spring on the bottom, the R4/5/6 series does not. Right?
