  5. Sticky Thread The Last Sterling Brochure

Many thanks to David Howroyd for kindly providing this keepsake. Sterling Armament Company was purchased in 1989 by British Aerospace - a fact well documented in the Guns of Dagenham. What is not so well documented, is that subsequently the remaining firearms inventory was sold to a dealer in...

  1. S&B 150 gr Subsonic Ammo

I bought some of the subject ammo to shoot in my Andrewski-built Mk V. The bullets are truncated cone. So far, 40 rounds have been fired through my gun with no function problems and the rounds were very quiet. No scientific measurements with chronograph or dB meter, alas. This ammo may be still...

Sterling Re-Finish, Parts Upgrades & Scope Mount My Sterling and spare parts were recently returned from John Andrewski for re-finishing and upgrades this week. 3. Magwell housing wobble.

Finally got my first sten transferred to my dealer. Its a new DLO MKII build that I think is unfired. How much play in the mag housing is acceptable? Mine has fair amount of wobble which doesn't usually affect function I'm told. Im thinking it would be easy fix to replace pawl with a larger...

  4. Sterling MK7 pistol barrels

I have a MK7 with an 8" barrel and want to shorten and thread it for a suppressor. Somewhere in the past I seem to remember that some pistols with 4" barrels had a different buffer and/or spring, but I am not sure. Does anyone here know for sure? Any experience with suppressors using various...

  5. Non-Slip Butt Cover for Sterling?

I have a Sterling SBR that shoots great but the bare metal buttplate slips around quite a bit on my shoulder as I shoot. Does anyone have any suggestions for reducing this slippage?
