I've been looking at the Bulgarian AKs recently, primarily those from the two competing Arsenal companies (Arsenal USA and Arsenal, Inc.). Does anyone here have firsthand experience with products from either of these builders?

I've located a class III, AK-47 Norinco underfolder, but there's a problem. It's a 223 and I want a 7.62x39 so I can use the cheaper ammo. Has anybody ever done a cal. conversion on a AK and if so how hard is it?? TD

I've read in other posts here that you can find class III AK-47's in the 5-6k range. Please let me know where you've seen them. I've seen a few FS but all of them were way over that price. Does anybody have an idea of aprox. cost to do this conversion on a Norinco/Poly or a Valmet? Who would do this type of conversion? I seem to be able to locate more AK-47 RR in 223 than the 7.62x39 and just want to increase my options if this is even a viable option. TD

I have a AK-47 in 7.62x39 in transfer and now I'm looking for opionions on the most reliable/best mags to stock up on while the transfer is going through. I see the Bulgarian 30 round mags for $9.99 and the Soviet Bloc 30 round mags for $6.99 in CDNN's latest catalog. How do these mags rate? TD

Does anybody on this board have a vepr k in 7.62-39.What do you like or dislike about this weapon.If not a vepr ak-47 what else shoots nice as ak's go. Thanks Rob

with the choice of ar-15 pistol or AK-47 pistol does anyone have any 1st hand knowledge?I shot a ar-15 pistol and think a ak-47 may be better ,the pistol I shot had many gas issues before my friend got it working.I only fired a few rounds before a ftf.?Input please.

I picked her up yesterday. Hopefully I can shoot it sometime next week (if this snow clears up). Fit and finish is excellent. The stock is a TIGHT lockup. I'm impressed so far and hopefully I'll be even more so once I shoot it!

Anybody have a favorite AK pistol? If you have one, does the shorter barrel make them more difficult to control? What about balance? What is a typical length for an AK pistol?

Could anyone suggest a quality AK-47 mag pouch. I am looking for something which I could possibly wear via belt or shoulder strap. I use primarily the Bulgarian waffle mags. Thanks, - Todd
