XM193 in ac556?

My ac556 is marked CAL.223, but I don't know why it would have the tighter match chamber. Is the hotter .556 ammo O.K. in this m.g.? Thanks, trgrhppy

EVERY Ruger .223 gun is marked .223

ac-556 has a 5.56 chamber not a 223 chamber.
not sure about the mini-14 though.
ac-556 was designed for military and police use and thus designed to fire 5.56X45 as a standard.
