Shooting Ranges in Dallas Fort Worth Area?

Are there any outdoor shooting ranges in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area? Any one know where I could find Uzi parts kits and other parts kits at reasonable prices? thanks dja9520

There's Tom Bean up towards Oklahoma... Alpine in south Ft Worth... Gibson's Outpost...

Only parts kit (Uzi) I've scored was at a gun show. Military Gun Supply might have them, but they were out when I checked....

You looking to shoot full auto or a semi gun? Alpine doesn't allow full auto's at all...

What and where do you want to shoot? There are several options. Check with Cole's Distributing for Uzi parts kit.

Tom Bean is an unsupervised range, you are on your honor to drop $3/hour into the box.

You can do whatever you want... .50's, Full Auto, Tannerite.

Just no bumpfiring, since last year some asshat shot down a powerline and started the range on fire, and almost burned down Ralph's (the owner) mothers house down.

I'm looking for a range where I can shoot a semi auto rifle and a pistol close to grand prairie, Arlington, or south side of fort worth. The winchester gun range in fort worth won't let me shoot my ak. Thanks dja9520

Alpine would be your closest choice.

And there is a real nice one 10-12 miles east of Denton on 380, the name escapes me, but it is a nice facillity

I would not recomend quail creek. Just seems they are exceedingly dificult.

There are several what I consider great ranges in the DFW area.

Tacpro Shooting Center out by Stephenville. www.tacproshootingcenter.com
Tiger Valley north of Waco. www.tigervalley.com
Adrenaline Proving Grounds out by Greenville. www.apgtraining.com

These ranges will pretty much let you shoot anything, practice anything etc. as long as you are safe.

There is also a range north of Denton, but I am afraid that I can't remember its name. I know that is where chili17 puts on some great subgun matches every few months.

    Hope this helped.

The north of Denton range is in Sanger. It's called Magnum Sports. It is on Duck Creek road. Lou is the owner and he has an outdoor range on his land in an old gravel pit and a pistol range. He is usually open on the weekend.

Shame...I used to live in Lewisville, and had been going to QC since the early 80s. If I remember a fellow named Hank owned it. Oh well, things change....then again, in those days you could just go to the Grasslands and cut loose.

Ah... Magnum Sports is a No No after the stunt they just pulled on RoverDave and the UziTalk convention. Actually, the best rifle range in the DFW area is Gibson's Outpost east of Dallas. FMJ allowed.

Alpine doesn't allow FMJ. It's a great facility for shotgunners and deer hunters shooting soft points.
