Please forgive me if I'm simply too stupid or blind to see, but I'd appreciate it if someone would tell me how to post pictures to this thread.

so who converted it?IMO it doesn't look original.

I got a nice virgin Bulgy krink kit in 7.62x39 that may find its way on this receiver but for now, I plan on enjoying the rifle as it is. If and when I send it out to be krinked, I will have the letters re-engraved the way they were supposed to be which would be more correct for a bulgy krink.
Just in case you are wondering, it is definetely a norinco receiver. It has all the norinco markings on the left side of the receiver. When I get around to it, I will take some close up pics.
Here's the first AK I'm posting pictures of. It started out life as a thumbhole stock Romak-3. It is currently a registered post-sample AK-74. All parts used in the conversion were original Romanian factory parts, including furniture and front sight base/muzzle brake. Shoots great, *but* I've been getting serious light primer hits from it when I use the Bulgarian military stuff on the market.

Next one. Pre-'86 dealer sample Chinese Type 56-1 export model. As originally configured, had orange Chinese furniture, no bayonet lug, and no threads on the muzzle end. Barrel was replaced with a NIB Poly Tech, and the furniture and folding stock were all replaced with European pattern parts. Biggest advantage is the Euro AKM-pattern folding stock sticks straight out, unlike the Chinese AK-47 pattern folder, which drops down and is ridiculously uncomfortable. At least with the AKM pattern you get something kinda sorta like a cheek weld.

Select fire Chinese Norinco AK47 fully transferrable. Really love the look and feel of underfolders. Going to run it thru the paces this Saturday![]()
