AK Picture Thread!

It was done by weapons specialties out of Arizona. Guess they were going for the Russian look but screwed up with the letters. The acryllic letters should be AB for auto and OA for semi auto (not AR) which it appears to be. Either way, I dont really care. It looks great and shoots wonderfully. I got a nice virgin Bulgy krink kit in 7.62x39 that may find its way on this receiver but for now, I plan on enjoying the rifle as it is. If and when I send it out to be krinked, I will have the letters re-engraved the way they were supposed to be which would be more correct for a bulgy krink.

FWIW, keep it as a full size. From discussions with other dealers at previous SAR Shows, it's getting to the point that Krinks are becoming about as common than full size AKs. Unless you really love the shorty, maybe original is better.

As for the WASR-10, I HATE myself because these were going for $149.99 a piece and came with those thin 10 rounders. My Dad asked why I wasn't getting one, and I said I just couldn't bring myself to get a 10 round only AK. Its like, why not just get an SKS?

I did not know everything was exactly the same and the magwell just needed dremilled out to the same dimensions of the 30 rounders.

I kept the full stock AK for a while but honestly, got tired of it beating the crap out of my shoulder. After returning home with another black and blue shoulder, I decided to go ahead with the conversion and must say, could not be more satisfied. This thing is totally awesome to shoot! It has a big bark but no bite and you can blast thru hundreds of rounds without suffering later on. To satisfy my hunger for a full sized rifle I ended up getting an underfolder chinese AK47 which is also a complete joy to shoot. Never understood the argument how or why full stocked ak's are supposedly more comfortable to shoot. Because my first hand experience has been totally the opposite.

I just picked this little baby up yesterday!!

Red Jacket Arms, ZK-MR SBR, with a short gas piston, folding stock.
Semi-auto, 7.62x39 and barrel length is 8".

That M92 is cool. Question, my M92 kit is for a stamped receiver. Did any M92s originally have the milled receiver? Looks like Jeff did an awesome job on your rifle.
