    New UZI pistol build

Just started getting parts for my first UZI build. A McKay welded upper has been ordered.

Would the APEX striker assembly work in the build ? https://www.apexgunparts.com/machine...s/uzi.html?p=2
APEX UC9 UZI Semi-Auto Striker Assembly, 9mm, *NEW*, US Made.

Is it possible to get a FA bolt converted to SA that works ? I cannot find a SA bolt online.

Is D and D Sales good to go ?

Edit - hopefully McKay will manufacture the semi bolts and firing pin assemblies this year sometime. That would be a drop in fit. I should have started this build a few years ago.

Might find someone to convert the bolt but unlikely it's labor, time, and tool, intensive.
You can do it on a drill press there are guys that have done it with hand tools.
    Again time consuming.

No idea about the striker but McKay claims a UC9 bolt won't work in their receiver.

Pretty sure D&D went tits up.

Best bet is BWE and USBARRELSHROUDS for the parts.

ole442 has been a huge help with my build. Ordered a semiauto recoil spring and Recoil Buffer Block from US Shrouds.

I just checked McKay's website. He has 46 fully welded receivers listed for sale.

Hopefully this build goes together without any problems.

Wow, that receiver looks nice. Is that the way it comes from them? I'd love to find one FTF at a local c=gun show!! But then, I've been selling off all my spares so I'd really be starting over....LOL!

    Good luck with the build!
