I called the gun range today and they promise they will be open. I emailed the owner, and he gives his blessing for the test. The wife and I are dropping the kiddo off at the Y for a couple of hours.

My wife is coming with me for emotional support and her biannual firearms refresher. She's going to be the camera woman.

Had a relatively successful test tonight. I had one jam about 1/3 through, but it seemed to run well considering I couldn't get through the first 20 in the previous attempts. All that is left is to get the dummy rounds (right now I'm loading it with all live ammo), finish welding it up, and clean up the feed lips. Hopefully I'll get it done in time for more testing at the Tusco shoot in September.
