Seriously, have you thought of making a few and selling them?

I think you would sell alot of them at $150 . Hell, I will take two at that price and will even throw in the donor mags

I'd be interested in the proto type it self after seeing it run, dependant on price of course. Being able to make a nd 3rd or a production line that runs maybe difficult, not to mentionthe fact that not all macs were created equal.

My form 4 has been sitting on Snooks desk for over three months. Until it gets approved and I have something to test a good donor mag I'm hesitant to get started

Anyone want to donate some ammo for further testing?

I'm not sure. My gram scale tops out at 5 lbs. I think it's a tad over that.

The fact is, without your input, it would have taken longer and been more expensive. Thank you.

Something tells me that Matt has been into the Opossum Slobber.

medphys, I really think that the dummy rounds are going to fix your drum problems. They will remove a lot of weight for that spring.

Do you guys think the mag catch will hold 3 loaded drums? Just kidding. This drum thing a great project to sharpen your skillset and learn about ammo feeding.

I just wanted to give you guys another personal BIG thanks. It's given me motivation and inspiration to work on my holy grail project "Gun Hollywood." Gun Hollywood is not a gun but an ammo feeding system. It requires no modifications to any magazine fed gun and will run until the weapon barrel burst. I want to get started on it soon. If we could get GH to work, we would eliminate the need for all high capacity magazines.

Gun Hollywood. Boy would I love to have one of those. This would be the gun that does not require any mag changes during running gun battles? Get cracken buddy. We expect to see live fire videos within 2 months.

    Working on that right now.

How about 2 drums feeding into a 50 round coffin mag feeding into an RO mag? You could probably get about 230 rounds out of that...

I didn't want to say anything but.... I did start the plans for an Uzi Quad Drum. I think it would weigh in the neighborhood of 25+ lbs and go about 265 rounds. Is there a tripod mount for an Uzi?

    It's like a sickness, isn't it.

I was expecting two opposed beta C drums. Call it a cloverleaf drum.

Exactly. I wanted to do it for an Uzi for two main reasons.
    1. thicker barrel
    2. I don't own an Uzi. I figure it would be easier for me to let it go/sell it.

What is the going rate for a working Uzi Quad Drum?

Isn't a beta C $300 a pop? That's going to be an expensive project, but WAY cool!

We could always wait for the Korean 9mm Beta Cs or just go with Suomi again and get 280 rounds.

The Beta Cs would weigh a lot less.

I like the idea of the Suomis b/c they're so dang easy to load.

Since I'm not as cool as strobro (I down to you sir) and haven't gotten my drum completely done yet, I thought I'd let everyone know about my attempt at making dummy rounds.

Since the dummy rounds are around $2.50 each, I didn't feel like spending more on the rounds than I did on the drum so here is what I did.

First, I cut down some fiberglass driveway markers that I had laying around in the garage (you could use dowel rods too) to about an inch long. I then used JB Weld to glue them into sized and deprimed 9mm shell casings and used the dremel tool to form the end of the round to a bullet shape.

Next I need to drill holes through them and hook them together with some guitar string. After that, I should be done. Let's hope
