Group Ind. Rough receiver build. need help.

I'm going ahead with a semi uzi build and have aquired an Group Industries rough reveiver. I need to mill it into spec (top cover pads, trigger group holes, etc.) and need to aquire the blueprints to make this possible. Anyone done this before, and where can I find blueprints? Also, I believe that I can build a pistol and use the IMI trunnion and 10" smg barrels. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you considered waiting for one of the new UZI receivers from Global or Nodak? They'll save you a lot of headaches.

The 10" SMG barrel needs to be turned down to fit a semi trunnion.

    aggman,
    I love the Avatar!

hey If your attempting a first UZI build save yourself the heart ache and time screwing around with that out of spec Group receiver and get the new
    Global Machine & Tool receiver.

All you have to do is weld in the parts. There's no mods neccesary and you'll have a very accurate and WORKING UZI right out of the gate.

    FWIW
Those Group receivers have several serial number ranges that are either rejects or have certain features that weren't finished.

They used to be the only receiver on the market, but today
its almost a waste of time screwing w/ them unless you have done one before.

Trust me friend. If someone came to me and told me what I know today about building on a Group receiver I would have thrown mine in the garbage long ago.

Its free $.02 info but honest.

Like TrippHammer said junk the Group Industries and get a Global. Global is by far the nicest reciever ever made. The only reason Globals are not as nice as IMIs is they don't say "IMI" on them.

Just spoke to fellow at D&D. They have Global receivers comming in this week that are already milled. They will have D&D on the side. $200 range. Guess I'll be posting my stuff in the "for sale" ads, and buying one of those.
    Thanks for the help.
