Pre-ban Mitchell Yugos were the creme of the crop, and the blue and blonde PolyTechs of the day were seriously sweet as well. The PolyTech Legend takes it a step further with a machined recvr. Once you handle any of these - you are sold.

Last year I sold a Norinco MAK-90 for $500. Wish I wouldn't have done that.

WOW, that buyer got a deal. My gunsmith says he wishes he never sold his MAK-90 also.
I have an Arsenal (sorry) SGL 21. The price was right. I couldn't pick one up a few years ago when they dropped their price to $500, but got one used shortly after for just over 600. I'm happy with her. Runs like a top. The finish sux, but eh, I don't mind.

Well my Chinese AK's were built by Chinese communists, my Hungarian AK Ditto.

AK= built by communists. So what's your problem?

I say: take your enemies' weapon, learn to run it better than they thought possible, and fuck them up with it.

Just cuz it was built by a commie doesn't mean it ain't a great tool.

Shop around for one of the SAR 1/2/3 Series.

BUT, IMHO NOthing Beats a Chi-Com.

    I sold a NIB 86S and 84S-1 a few years back, wish I never sold the 84S-1.

Darn my memory is starting to work .
If you want a really nice milled receiver AK . Find a AK Hunter and covert it to pistol grip.

The best top of the line AK today is a well built parts kit AK, or a Polytech Legend.

My biggest problem is dealing with short-sighted morons.

There's a difference between taking something from someone you just killed and PAYING some asshole(s) to help erode your rights away.

Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining.

Got one of those. But the yellow furniture was kind beat up and nasty so I pulled it off sanded and and re-stained it red. Says it was imported through L.A. Nice gun.

Nothing beats a nice Pre-ban AK.

Remember Dirty Harry also received an A rating from the NRA this last election. To me a scum bag that voted for the 94 ban is always a scum bag, and unfortunately my US Senator. He built a large shooting park in Vegas with pilfered federal money, earning the A rating. Now back to the thread I have three Arsenals, two milled and one stamped; I'd trust my life to any of them and recommend them without reservation.

Arsenals are made with RUSSIAN recievers how can you get any better than that. I just bought a new ARSENAL yesterday and the fit and finish is perfect couldnt ask for anything better. 2500 rounds later with no malfuntions she ran 1000% I wouldnt own nothing but an ARSENAL after this.

I will chime in with a Poly Tech Legend and/or a Poly Tech National Match.
