Don't waste your time with Kelly Enterprises

I placed a order with Chuck 2 weeks ago. I called him up and told him I wanted to order a Vector Cabine. He said he only had 2 left in stock and if I didn't order that day I might have to wait. I said fine lets go ahead and make an order right now. He gladly accepted my money. I called him 3 days later to inform him I had my Ffl sent over and he already had my money so we should have been good to go. Well he starts giving me attitude about people calling him all the time asking for their order status and told me I had to be patient. Well never mind he told me if I ordered when I did he had a gun in stock and ready to ship. So I back off and try to be patient. I waited a week and called him back for an order update. Well he tells me he dosent have the gun in stock but he would move me to the front of the list. He said to email him on Thursday and he would give me a tracking number. I email him Thursday and get no response so I call and he dosent answer. So today I get ahold of him and he said he had 3 carbines but he shipped them to a customer who ordered way before me. Then why did he lie to me when I placed my order and tell me if I ordered that day he had the gun in stock and ready to ship? In a nutshell this guy is taking money for guns he dosent even have on hand. He said he mailed my refund today so I guess someone else will get my business. I've bought a ton of guns off gun broker with no issues. I would look elsewhere if I was considering ordering from this guy.

First & only post & you totally trash a vendor? Sounds a bit strange to me. I've done business with Chuck a few times & never had a problem at all.....
Every business has problems now & then, and feedback is always welcome, however I am always a bit leery when someone joins just to post something negative about a business....

I joined here a few weeks ago in anticipation of learning about my newest firearm. I mostly lurk and read all the older post on this site. It's kinda hard to contribute to the Uzi forum when I had not received my Uzi yet wouldent you think? I own many other firearms and shoot regularly. I was hoping to familiarize myself with the platform and then be able to contribute to the site. I realize that my first post was peculiar but the whole experience with said vendor left a bad taste in my mouth. Like I stated in my OP I have done numerous other gun purchases and have allways had a positive experience. I did my part I provided funds instantly and had a copy of my FFL in Chucks hand within 3 days of purchase. If he would have been up front with me from the start and said he was really busy and the carbine was on back order I wouldent have anything to complain about or I could have chose to go elsewhere. Chuck told me he had carbines in stock and didn't. Then when I call to see what's going on he acted like I was the one being pushy. I just want what was agreed upon in the deal. I had a bad experience with the vendor and I felt compelled to warn others that's all. Anyways I went with a CMMG ar in 9mm so I guess this ends my time on this forum. God bless.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I've not done business with that dealer, but I do have a caution list of dealer's, vendor's and individuals to watch out for before doing business. I was recently burned by a very reputable dealer for $11,575 for an HK Sear Pack and will never get my hard earned money back, so every little experience written to inform the community helps.

The way I read your story it appears as more of a fact story than a trash story. Just the facts...

    YMMV in any business deal...

Well as long as you get your money back it should be good.

Also you don't have to run from the UZITALK site we a a AR15/M16 talk forum for your new toy.

I had a similar experience with Kelley Enterprises. He likes to claim that items are in stock when they are aren't. I ordered an Uzi from him and after we finalized the deal he informed me that it was going to be a week before he would have any in. So I was a little pissed about that (considering not 5 minutes prior he told me he had them in stock) but hey, it was only a week. After 4 weeks I called him back and asked where the hell was my gun and he gave me a line about how backed up Vector was. I don't necessarily believe that Vector wasn't backed up, I'm sure they were...I was more pissed that he claimed he had something in stock when in fact didn't. I finally got my gun 5 weeks after I ordered it, but I'll never do business with him again.

All I intended to do with this post was inform all you guys of my bad experience. There was a thread recently asking where to get a Vector and Kelly Enterprises came up in the thread. When I make a deal with someone I do everything in my power to fulfill my commitments. I paid instantly and provided FFL asap. Not only did the vendor lie about availability he acted like I was the one being a jackass for wanting what I already paid for and was told was in stock and available. There are so many great dealers out there who go above and beyond to make their customers happy. I don't want someone spending their hard earned money like I did, only to be lied to and treated like a bother. Thanks root, I have many other toys I can add opinions about and I post pretty regular on THR. This thread was no malicious attack just me trying to help others avoid an un pleasurable deal that I experienced. Take my opinions however you choose. Thanks Guys !!

Pretty much opposite of my experience with Chuck. I ordered mini uzi and he was straightforward and said probably 2 weeks because of backup on stocks. At 2 weeks I emailed and he said 3 of his last 5 minis were just shipped out and I was next and no more than a day or two. Not 2 hours later I had a tracking number! He's not a big charmer on the phone but neither am I. My experience was straightforwArd and he set and met expectations accurately on my order call. Should meet the mini at my FFL this week! To OP, sorry it went south for you and glad you got your dough.

I too had a excellent experience with Chuck Malta. I could only happier with my Mini Uzi, if it was select fire.

I recently bought a model A from Chuck, He was great do deal with. He did exactly what he said he would do. He was always pleasnt when I had questions. The problems started when I accepted delivery of my Vector carbine. It didnt function correctly, couldnt get through a 32 round mag without at least 2 or 3 jams. It should be coming back from repairs this week. I will be posting how it works now.I have high hopes.

Buckxo not to change topics but I'd love to know more about this getting burned on the purchase of a HK Sear. The price sounds like a good deal and since they're about impossible to breach I'd be very interested to know how you were burned for the who amount or any of the amount you paid. Detail and pics would be great. Like I said, very interested to know more.

Turns out my mini got sent from Vector to Chuck in FL instead of my FFL here in AZ. Chuck is going to make it right, but it's frustrating to have to wait another week. Oh well, it's just time. I hope that my Vector is a good one, sounds like some aren't, which is not very encouraging for my first Uzi.

Not to nag or thread hijack, but your profile lists your age as 16 years old (which raises the question of A- how are you buying weapons let alone NFA items and B- where did you get that money?). The obvious answer would be that the age listed is a mistake. Although it is possible you're the coolest teenager on your block, I suppose.

A more relevant question, how do you get burned and never get your money back? If somebody just cheated you out of almost $12,000 dollars the obvious answer is to file suit, contact the state and local authorities and contact the US Postal Inspection Service to report fraud (if it involved the mail or interstate commerce). I'd be very interested to hear more about what happened with your HK Sear Pack and the $11,575 dollars.

Chuck did not receive the shipment per the UPS tracking number he sent me when it was supposedly being shipped to my FFL in Arizona. The delivery will have to go back to him tomorrow. I emailed him and he is silent after normally responding via his iphone right away. After the screwup of shipping it from Vector to Chuck in FL and then Chuck not receiving the package so it could be sent Fed Ex ground right away as promised, I've had it and my patience has been expended. I asked him to cancel the order and refund me. I don't know what it is with the gun business but it seems harder and harder to find people who know anything about organization or customer service. Will keep the thread appraised of how this goes.

Any deal "too good to be true" offerred by someone who has little if any known reputation is probably just a tuition payment for an education in the school of hard knocks.

Rereading the thread, it seems hit or miss with this vendor, thus he is on my list of people to watch when doing business.

    YMMV...
