Fall 2016 KCR National Subgun Match Results

Another Knob Creek National Subgun Match in the books. Best weather we have had in quite a while. Hope y’all enjoyed it. It was a ‘run and gun’ and we figure about 40 cases of ammo was expended. The Knob Creeken engagement was….different, but it supposed to be fun. This one ran fast with great steel setters. Big congratulations to Shaggy for his course design. He will be my successor next year and he did a great job stepping up. I feel fortunate knowing the match will continue and be in good hands. Enjoyed hanging with old friends and meeting all new friends. We had a lot of new shooters and a lot of interest in others wanting to get involved and play. Congrats to Garrett Jackson for his TOP GUN run. His name will be added to the plaque with all the others. Way to go Garrett!.

The Range Officers worked hard, but were professional as always and they are to be congratulated. It doesn’t happen without their involvement and they did good as always. KCR management is still one of our biggest fans and they outdid themselves with their staff and support. There were so many spectators we could have used a second set of bleachers.

Here are the scores (unofficial, as always). Hope to see everyone at the next one in April. Congrats to all the competitors. Smiles all around.

Ha, sweet. Had a blast, thanks for putting it on! Was hard to find rules and info on the website so I showed up with a bunch of suomi coffins loaded to the hilt and had to be put into unlimited. Then I found out after the match the optic was loose. Oops. But hey, not bad for borrowed guns I had only test fired an hour beforehand. :P Anyway, nice meeting you guys, planning on making the trip back down in April to do it again.

Thanks guys! And hats off to Paul, Shaggy, and the rest of the crew. Without them, the match wouldn't have been the success that it is.

The swinger at the first really messed with people's heads, I think. It took me three runs to get it figured out, and finally had a good run my last time through. The whole thing was fairly straightforward, but challenging. Well done!

Awesome run Garrett. "Play that tune!!!"

That looked to be a really cool challenge, and you smoked it.

    Congrats man!

Wow that was a fun run. Good job Garrett. The same guys are still at the lead in KC.

Good job to the AZ state match guys . Richard and Chris rocked. The hand grenade penalty was a little steep for a subgun match.
