Congrats! By far the best and most fun m11/9 upper I own. Also brilliant idea on the spring catch, Would be total pain if we had to redo the spring every time we took the upper off.

    Awesome Congrats Richard!

Now if the Amateur Tyrannical Folks can come up just a bit for some air from all that self-loving cranial rectitis, long enough to approve your MAX 10/15 that would be wonderful as well...

Has anyone said what will happen if they (ATF) never respond to request for approval? (What Lage plans on doing)

I (vaguely) recall him saying that he will NOT sell them without an ATF determination letter, due to the fact that he didn’t want his buyers (us) and him in possible legal jeopardy.

I’m not sure if atf will issues determination letters after the bump stock disaster. I think companies are going to have to just research all the laws and if they are not a MG (Don’t meet the legal definition one) then sell them. Make the buyers sign some kinda waver. Another thing to consider is a determination letter literally means nothing because atf changes their mind all the time. Hell look at the sig braces.

Lage has an approval for the m11/9 223 upper. Just imagine if they don’t approve the m11 223 upper. Companies might want to consider making buyers sign a waiver for liability or even sell 80% completed kits.

Lage is not selling without a determination letter. Can't blame them.

As to the idea of 80% uppers, if you had the upper shell indexed for an ar barrel and nut, the only parts that wouldn't be off the shelf would be the parts that make the bolt work. would inclusion of the specialty bolt carrier parts make the upper kit a conversion device?

    PS: Congratulations to Lage Mfg!

Wow, filed Sept 26, 2019 and issued Oct 6,2020. That's just over one year which is unheard of speed in the patent world. I've had many that take four plus years. Now he need to get his patent examiner transferred to the BATFE tech branch.

It would appear PATENTS are done in less time than DETERMINATION letters.. that really should not be!

Would be disqualified on his application for being competent.

The patent mostly covers a couple of different features of the MAX-11/15, MAX-11A1/15 and MAX-10/15.

    Kool

My not so smart potato errr fone won't load it either.

So now with a patent can you move forward on the 10 and 11a1?
Since they are scaled respectively to lower size?

    Asking for myself.
