id even consider the 12 gauge shorty route like the Sabre was going to use...but that gives you no existing mags

id like to watch any of you shoot 00 buck in 2 3/4" shells full auto...let alone in 3" or 3.5"....i think this is going to be a light load only....or your going to need a bite guard to keep your teeth from rattling

    Any updates?

2 3/4 would be good enough and allow the S12 drums.

Yes sir the size & availability make this an easy choice. Going to test with mags first but definitely plan to test a drum once the mag runs. More drilling done, and soon I値l be cutting a set of test side plates for this beast.

Great that will save me a ton on buying mags and drums for the upper to start since I can just use the ones on hand while I wait for dedicated one to show up in the mail for the upper.

Hurry up with the side plate cutting.

Oh, this sounds like fun. I haven't even mailed off the check for my M11/9 (first machine gun!) yet and I want this. Put me on the list.

I知 so pumped for this thing. Been drilling & cutting & more drilling.. I値l post a video when I do an actual test.. just primer rounds to start to ensure firing. Then half shells. Then light loads. If it doesn稚 work... I値l try again!

This will have to hold you over.. not sharing any photos until this thing is test ready. progress is slow and not every step can be completed in one try.. if something doesn’t work I just try again.

    Standby - fixing picture

I ran into a mountain of challenges but progress is still being made. Lots of work to do but resolution of the issues led to a simplified design. If it doesn’t work, try again.

Update! This is still underway. The challenge has been the non-receiver housing for the Saiga components. I have other full time endeavors, so I don’t have time to learn all the skills I would like to. Nobody is going to build the whole thing for me either so I’m taking “The Fly” approach and am working with one person to replicate the magwell & rail assembly. Another individual will install the trunnion & another the Mac interface. At least another 6-12 months before ATF submission, but I’m getting measurably closer.

Can't you just buy a 400 dollar sds imports linx 12 and rape it for parts? There very good guns. I have one. They even run walmart cheapo 12ga shells like a champ.

I highly recommend the gun. Works better than the real saiga 12 I used to have

Absolutely!! I just started with a Saiga because that was what I had... but for very reasonably priced off the shelf components that is exactly my plan if we get an initial approval and want to make more.
