    Interesting. The pictures don't show the original markings which of course still have to be there. I wonder what it was before it became an M92.

    I believe Tim Lafrance made the receiver. His address serial number etc are the only markings, there are no markings on the trunnion The selector positions are marked U-R-J.

    Nobody that I know of was making AK receivers prior to the '86 machinegun ban. It has to be a conversion.

    The rivet pattern is European / Soviet but there are no "crows feet" around the axis pins, Probably Chinese (?)

    Perhaps LaFrance did the original conversion, but someone else converted it to M92 configuration. I agree that it's probably Chinese. I've seen another Chinese conversion where the front rivets were moved up.

    I'm super cheap so the best I can offer is a PAP with an "arm brace".... but it's nice and loud, and the fireballs are impressive. Plus not to terribly inaccurate for a shortie, although, in fairness, it's really not that much shorter than my SAR-1...
