Wouldn't be that scary to do. Tack on something similar to above link.

I believe people buy them specifically to convert pistols into rifles

You should be about ready to move on one of these now...

I went the transferable full stock route and had PoHF (Mario) do the the Krink conversion in 5.45. I am VERY happy with it....

Outstanding! I plan on trying one first. 5.45 or 7.62? That is the question. I am also looking into belt feds... a RPD would be amazing but also sky high? I have an idea of where they are priced at but not totally sure.

    Nice gun thou! Congrats!

I have owned both and much prefer shooting the 5.45. Also AKS-74U is originally 5.45.
Here's what first got me excited about krinks: this SAR article http://www.smallarmsreview.com/displ...darticles=3339; and this classic video: https://youtu.be/lMe1Mbt8o1Y.
CAUTION: Following these links may constitute collusion with the Russians

My buddy’s post sample he was rubbing my nose in.

I’d love to get a transferable and make it into a clone I’d never have to give up!! That’ll learn ‘em. Haha

    7.62 (beast)

Heh-heh, a folk singer AND a gun dealer - truly a renaissance man!

Yeah, a transferable clone would be much better than a postie. Not all clones are built alike. The one in the video was as close as it gets to a Russian replica at the time.

My first Krink iteration was in 7.62 (middle picture below). Then I wanted the the same gun in 5.45 and a more exact Russian replica.

You can see that Mario achieved both at bottom. If you look closely you can see that there are differences between the middle photo and the top/bottom ones. It is not easy to make a Chinese transferable receiver look like a Russian AKS-74U...

I'm in the marker for 2 sets of hinged top covers, and rear sight blocks.... so I can complete both of mine, I have just about everything else

    For sure!
I think all AKs would benefit from the longer sight radius, but the "shorties" really need it.
If I decide to stick with Irons on mine, I will either use a Krink style or a Galil receiver cover
