    M16a2 on Gun Broker

This buy now price for this M16a2 on GB seems at least 5K below market. I was curious if anyone can speculate as to why. BTW, I am not in the market for another MG now, so feel free to buy it if you want. (And no, I am not affiliated with the seller either.)

That’s not a M16a2. It’s an sp1 that some stamped “M16a2”, no magazine fence, no selector stops, no buffer tube “reinforcement” and possibly a large front takedown pin.

I sure hope no one falls for this.

And an SP serial number. Thats definitely a semi auto conversion.
Deceptive advertising at the very least.

Slab side giveaway.. I've seen a few "tricks" like this.. if I remember correctly people do fall for it cause the bid was well over what you'd get for an sp1 on the one I saw.

Someone posted one a few months back and I think someone called him out and he changed the description lol. He knows what hes doing, he should be slapped

So what is the average going price for a converted SP1?

    18K 20K 15K ?????

It would look better to me and be more desirable to me if it was all sp1 by that I mean lose the modern upper and sell as original.
Or at least a original 11.5 Vietnam era commando upper on it.

I would think on gunbroker no more than 20, I am not really up to date on the market though

I'm sure people would do their research before plunking down that kind of change. At least I hope so...
