I picked up some coffin mags and want some spare springs. Can I still send in a check and get some spring sets??

I believe the price will remain $17.95 till production starts then they will increase in price -- so you should get a check sent in sooner rather than later if you want the lower price point

I forgot I had 5 coffins from the BRP gun I bought 2-3 years ago. Never used the coffins - always used the drums. But this thread caused me to pull them out, inspect, strip and clean. One mag has rusty springs and probably need replacement.

What a bizarre design. And now I know why these springs are sold in 'sets'.

This also caused me to mail off my deposit for 5 sets.

It would seem to me ordering 10 sets would be better. I would think that any spring that is 70+ years old, would stand to be replaced. These will not be a stock item. So having a spare set of springs per mag seems prudent to me.

In all likelihood after I'm dead my wife or kids will throw them away not having any clue or appreciation for what they are. Not a one of them can change a tire or repair anything. They can barely change a light bulb.

I would bundle the spare springs or put them in a box and label them.

Add 2 more from Fort Worth. Found 2 in the 'box of crap' that will be renewed & put back to work.
Why doesn't this happen with cash??

Just got off the phone with Alan at Sprinco - wire has been ordered and they are waiting to get on the machine schedule - they have to finish some current jobs first .

Hopefully this is getting very close, if the testing goes well.

From Alan at Sprinco -- Michael C e-mailed me today about availability of the mag springs, but my direct reply to his e-mail has failed for the past 4 hours. If you have any means of contacting him through the Forum, please request that he either call us or use a different e-mail address. You should get in touch with Sprinco

Now what everyone wants to hear -- I just received this email :

We should have the First Article samples ready to ship to you and the other person (in Texas?) tomorrow or Wednesday. I need to know who the other guy is and all of his pertinent information.

The job ahead of this one on the machine kept getting the quantities bumped, so it took longer than anticipated to get on the machine. What started out as a 5K spring order turned into a 35K order.

Chris if you read this, I have sent him your address- you should get some springs to test in a few days.

Is it weird that this makes me want to try and increase my order?

I read that a the job they were trying to finish, not the Soumi mag springs you want.

Received the test springs today - 2 sets, one set is slightly stronger. Both ran the same, no notable difference in loading. I did have the last round in the first mag fail to strip, but it stripped and fired when I retried it. Ran different loads and bullet weight ranging from 115 to 147. Singles, short and long bursts.

Here are videos of some of the mags I ran though today.

    Springs should be shipping soon.
