    Match Results

Another great match is on the books. The weather was hot but dry. The Match Director Shaggy (John) Anderson did a fantastic job. Black Creek Conservation Club were great hosts and provided an outstanding lunch. Thanks to Zenith Arms who provided the door prize and Innovative Targets who provided some great steel targets for our competitors to experience.

    Don't forget the Unlimited shooters:
    1 182.22 Bruce, Emery M11
    2 212.89 Sean, Callahan MP5
    3 227.08 Clif, York Uzi

As usual, this was a really fun match. It would not have been possible without a lot of work from Joel, Shaggy, and the other ROs and match officials. There is also a large contingent of volunteers from the Black Creek Conservation Club that come out and help set up, set steel, paste targets, fix lunch, tear down, etc. The success is due in large part to all of the hours these people put in.

I had a lot of fun. Everything went well... until it didn't. I somehow managed to get a bent ejector rod in my MAX-11, half way through a magazine. Still trying to figure that one out. The DNF on one stage killed me for my Unlimited run. At least everything ran well in the morning in the Optics run.

I'm slowly getting video of all of the stages edited. But here's one of Stage 5.

Maybe I will try to come next time.
Is the Colt SMG allowed in this match?
    Any pistol caliber MGs?

Absolutely. There were a number of M16/9mms there.

Any pistol caliber .380 and up is allowed.

    Thats awesome!!
I'm assuming no silencers allowed because the shot timer wouldn't pick them up.

Silencers are allowed. The RO just needs to make sure to have the timer close to the ejection port on the last round fired. I run suppressed about half the time. I didn't this year, as I was shooting some poly-coated bullets. They may not lead the barrel like plain lead, but they tend to crud up anything beyond the barrel, like a silencer or muzzle brake.
