Document Storage Idea

I was trying to come up with a way to store a miniature version of my form 4 and trust on the weapon. Since I use an AR15 Magpul stock on mine, I realized that the empty buffer tube would be a great place for storage. I’ll decided to mill off the back of the tube, so you can just roll up a miniaturized and laminated copy and stuff it in the tube. To access it, just take the stock off. I still need to shrink and laminate everything, but the rolled up piece of paper shows what I’m going for.

I just make a copy and put it in the case. there is no place on my SBRs that I can put the paperwork in.

I print out and laminate a copy of each of my tax stamps. 60+. I keep them in my range bag. So far, no one has ever asked to see my paperwork to own "that weapon". ;-)

On my Retro 607 SBR, I was thinking of using a m1956 (canvas belt pouch) with the sling run through it?

I took the butt plate off of my Reising M50 and under it was a miniature form 4 from the guy who had it before the guy I bought it from. Kinda cute.

I once had a DNR cop ask me to see a "registration" document. He was really young and nervous about asking. I showed him and he was happy. Don't know what he would have done if I didn't have a copy.

A real simple idea especially if you have more than one NFA. Copies of Forms in clear page protectors in a thin three ring binder in your range bag.

Very neat idea.

Not once asked for papers for anything blasted. All would be highly illegal otherwise. Might as well take a welded MG3 to anyplace visited thus far and blast a 300 round string. Wouldn’t matter.

Kinda cute? That’s F’n ADORABLE. Tiny forms for all my NFA stuff!

I have tiny wallet sized forms. I also usually keep a copy in PDF on my phone.

Same. I just took pics and saved to my iPhone’s file folder. Better than paper, unless you are worried about something else that may be on your phone ��

I have a binder in my bag too, but after doing this mod, I will no longer need to have it. Lighten up the load. I also have files on my iPhone, but redundancy is always good to have when dealing with local officials , who may or may not, be as educated on nfa laws as many of us are, and phones seem to always go dead at the worst times...
