I have a Sten and a couple of M11/9's waiting in ATF jail. I also have a MasterPiece Arms Defender. I have Sten, Shockwave ZMags and Tepco magazines. Since all the magazines are similar and suffer with the same issue of being a pain to load, I'd like to get a magazine loader to help save my fingers. I don't mind paying for the best quality. What are my options?
The Austen sten loader is the best of the 3 types of sten loader I have
I use the Mac 11 loader for the shockwave m11/9 mags
Shockwave makes its own loader for the max 31 mags
I used the maglula loader for pistol mags this weekend and it worked great.
I use Maglula for Shockwave Z mags in M11. Works great.

Sten needs one of the British issue box or spoon loaders, or you can use the Austen loader.
There is not an adapter to use the Magpump with Zmags. At least not yet.
I'm going to be the dissenter here. I prefer the OEM loader. Fewer movements to load cartridges.
The mag pump looks good. I'll wait until they make an adapter.
OEM or Uplula with the slight nod going to the OEM.
Honestly it depends on which one I grab first from my range bag.

For zmag-s the Lage loader is fantastic!
I sent Magpump an email asking about adapters for the Zmag. They said they have an "SMG mag adapter in the works so stand by." Hard to say which smg mag they are working with. I hope they don't think all smg mags are the same.

I got an Uplula and tried it with the Tapco mags for the Masterpiece Arms Defender. The Tapco mags are too big (front to back) for the Uplula. I'll get one of the Austen loads and give it a try.
