It does run a little better suppressed, but it's not bad this way either. 30 round mag dump.

Nice, thank you! It's surprisingly easy to shoot one handed for that number of rounds.

The original "SWD Hi-Low" ad claimed it reduced the ROF to 700 rpm with 380 ammo. The 380 bolt was a tiny bit longer than 9mm length with the older style 380 extractor.

^ yeah but they also claimed the 9mm was 1200rpm and we all know it’s around 1500.

Make similar math to the .380and 700rpm becomes 1000.

If I remember right it's an FTF bolt. Similar to the factory 9mm bolt. It is a 9mm bolt.

bruh, i have basically the same conversion but with the oem bolt in an MPA receiver. could be my imagination but it
seems to run a lot slower. i'm using cheap maxtech 95 grn ammo.

It's possible the ammo I'm using is contributing to the speed. Part of the reason I did this is because my agency recently stopped using 380 as a back up. That leaves around 2-3000 rounds with no one to shoot it. I'm just trying to help the government get of there surplus....suposed to be a smiley face.

Converted my M11/9 to 380 today.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rmJWJ4FtIs

Picked up one of the MPA side charging uppers and installed a ILWT .380 barrel. Warped the upper installing the barrel like an idiot and had a blast bending it back into shape. Had a lot of failure to fire until going back to the OEM extractor and the weaker extractor spring. Used a MPA 9mm spring and cut off 2-3 coils and it runs good. The 380 is a fantastic option since its always subsonic and light weight. Recoil is super mild since the bolt isn't hitting the back. I would compare it to the Lage 22 conversion with a little more push. Would totally recommend this as another option. I love the current setup but maybe in the future ill pickup another recoil spring to clip and see if I can get it down to the 700 RPM range.
